    • Often interpreted to be "deliberate" because they hear the term used in associated with "suicide", as in "suicide by self-inflicted gun shot wound."
    • The actual definition ,according to Michelle Malkin of Fox News, the term "self-inflicted" contains no malice or intent to cause harm to one's self. But, the term "Inflict" according to Webster's Dictionary means "to cause suffering". (see Nonrepresentative instance)
