Self-Evident Truth: Always must be true, does not conflict with other truths,
and admits of no exceptions. Self-evident truth can be deduced or proved by a
series of self-evident steps. (Similar in fashion with the coherence theory of
truth, or the scientific method.)
- It's true that every Man of Marriageable age who is not married is a bachelor.
- It does not sound exactly right to say that the Pope is a bachelor.
Self-evident truth in morality
That which can be gained by being truthful only appears to outweigh that which can be gained by being deceitful.
